Three national parks in one special trip. It is the uniqueness
of the rocks that caused Bryce Canyon to be designated as
a national park. These famous spires, called "hoodoos," are
formed when ice and rainwater wear away the weak limestone. The
north rim of the Grand Canyon is less crowded than the South Rim
but just as spectacular, offering a sense of looking across the
expanse of the canyon, rather than into its depths and providing
a magnificent view of the river below. Zion National Park is
famous for its multi-colored sheer cliffs and monolithic
sandstone walls.
