Kayaking the Green River, Utah

This 5 day/4 night kayak trip is the perfect trip to escape to the great outdoors. The Green River is the longest stretch of undammed flat water in the Southwest.  Journey down the river, floating through one of the most scenic canyons on earth, through white, yellow, brown and red canyon walls with hairpin switchbacks accented by towering buttes and mesas rising 1,500 feet above the river.  No experience is required.

Yellowstone National Park is one of this country's most beloved parks. Not only was it our first National Park but its rich geological history is as active today as it was when the Park was created in 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant.  Nearby is the more recently established Tetons National Park with its pristine lakes and jagged snow capped mountains.  Include a visit to Jackson Hole and you have all the ingredients for a wonderful week.

Grand Canyon, Bryce & Zion
National Parks

Three national parks in one special trip. It is the uniqueness of the rocks that caused Bryce Canyon to be designated as a national park. These famous spires, called "hoodoos," are formed when ice and rainwater wear away the weak limestone.  The north rim of the Grand Canyon is less crowded than the South Rim but just as spectacular, offering a sense of looking across the expanse of the canyon, rather than into its depths and providing a magnificent view of the river below.  Zion National Park is famous for its multi-colored sheer cliffs and monolithic sandstone walls.

Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park

Lake Tahoe is the largest Alpine Lake in America. South Lake Tahoe offers beautiful views of mountains covered with fir and pine trees, deep blue water year-round, and a wealth of outdoor activities. Yosemite Valley is only seven miles long and less than a mile wide, but it ranks higher in scenery per square foot than perhaps anywhere else in the world.  Sequoia National Park is nearby and is named for its groves of Sequoia trees, the largest trees known.

The Grand Canyon and Sedona

We begin in Las Vegas known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World".   Our journey will then take us to the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon National Park covers more than 1.2 million acres of forests, streams, waterfalls, deserts, canyons, and plateaus making this a truly unique destination.  The canyon's grandeur at sunrise and sunset are sure to make for memorable highlights.  Included in this wonderful trip will be a visit to Sedona, AZ and the beauty of the spectacular red rocks.  Phoenix, Arizona's largest city, is our final destination.

Halifax's origins and rich maritime history derive from its strategic location on one of the world's great natural harbors. Cabot Trail is a breathtaking coastal drive.  Charlottetown, capital of Prince Edward Island, is a quaint and pretty town, small enough to be able to walk around.  Prince Edward Island National Park has wildlife, rich salt marshes and dramatic bluffs along the coast. One of the best ways to experience Island life is to meander along the various back roads and highways.

Vermont and the Green Mountain Inn

We will begin in Burlington and visit the surrounding sights.  We'll then change hotels and set up base camp for the next few days in the 4-star, award-winning Green Mountain Country Inn,  located in the heart of Stowe village. The Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places. From Stowe we will enjoy daily tours of the surrounding areas to visit typical Vermont sites including covered bridges, a maple sugar farm, and a cider mill.  Our time in Vermont will also include a boat trip on Lake Champlain, Shelburne Museum, a visit to Ben & Jerry's and Cabot Cheese, and even time to enjoy a hiking or biking opportunity.

During the holiday season, Colonial Williamsburg doors and windows are wreathed in arrangements fashioned with holly, pine, apples, feathers, oranges and pineapples.  Restored to its 18th-century glory with interpreters in period dress living its 18th-century lifestyle, Colonial Williamsburg is especially beautiful at Christmas time.  Visit restored buildings including Virginia's colonial Capitol, the Governor's Palace, Raleigh Tavern, Bruton Parish Church and scores of colonial homes and shops.

On January 1, 2012 spectators from around the world will celebrate the New Year with the Rose Parade. The Rose Parade will once again feature the beautiful pageantry and tradition of magnificent floral floats, high-stepping equestrians and spirited marching bands.  What makes this parade so special is that we will have the opportunity to participate in float preparations and then watch the parade from premium seats on New Year's Day. If you've ever wondered how this parade becomes reality, this trip is for you.
